Common questions

Questions families and case managers ask.

Always happy to answer more at info@bttrliving.com or (510) 709-5809.

Can bttr help if other programs have long wait lists?

Often yes. Through the Self Determination Program, families have more flexibility to choose providers quickly without waiting for traditional RC vendor assignments.

Does bttr support autistic people who use AAC?

Yes. We respect all communication styles including AAC and partner with communication support providers when the person requests it.

Does bttr coordinate with schools or clinicians?

Yes. We align goals with IEP teams, therapists, behavior support staff, and independent facilitators to keep everyone working from the same plan.

Is bttr only for adults?

bttr primarily serves adults 18 and older. For transition age youth approaching adulthood we can begin planning early to ensure a smooth and supported start to services.

What does a typical session look like for an autistic participant?

Sessions are built around the person's goals, comfort level, and learning style. Sensory needs, pace, and communication preferences are always respected from day one.

How quickly can services start after a referral?

Most participants begin within 5 to 14 days after Regional Center or SDP approval. Our team guides families through every step of the process.
