At bttr Living, we are committed to protecting the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of every person who engages with our services or visits our website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard personal information in connection with our disability support services, referrals, communications, website forms, and service planning activities.
This policy is intended for participants, families, caregivers, Regional Center clients, Service Coordinators, Independent Facilitators, Financial Management Services, referral partners, and visitors to bttrliving.com.
Information We Collect
We may collect personal information that you provide directly through forms, referrals, phone calls, emails, consultations, service planning conversations, or website interactions. This may include name, phone number, email address, mailing address, preferred language, service interests, referral details, communication preferences, and information needed to respond to your request.
For participants and families, information may also include Regional Center related details, service needs, disability support goals, IPP related information, emergency contacts, scheduling needs, authorized representatives, and other information provided by the participant, family, Regional Center, Independent Facilitator, or authorized party.
How We Use Information
We use information to respond to inquiries, process referrals, coordinate services, communicate with families and authorized teams, support onboarding, maintain service records, improve operations, meet legal requirements, and provide person centered support.
We may also use non identifying information to improve our website, training, outreach, accessibility, service quality, and internal systems. bttr Living does not sell personal information.
Disability Services and Confidentiality
Because bttr Living supports adults with developmental disabilities, we treat participant information with heightened care. Information connected to autism support, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual disability, epilepsy, Regional Center services, Self Determination Program services, ILS, CFS, SLS, TDS, respite, or other disability related supports is handled with privacy, dignity, and limited access.
How We Share Information
We do not share personal information for commercial purposes. We may share limited information with authorized service partners, Regional Centers, Independent Facilitators, FMS providers, family representatives, contractors, technology vendors, or legal and regulatory bodies when necessary to provide services, comply with obligations, protect safety, or respond to valid requests.
When information is shared, we aim to limit it to what is necessary and appropriate for the purpose.
Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include access controls, secure systems, staff training, confidentiality expectations, limited access to records, and procedures for responding to suspected unauthorized access.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to protect information with care and to respond promptly when concerns arise.
California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, California Privacy Rights Act, and California Online Privacy Protection Act. These rights may include the ability to request access to personal information, request correction, request deletion, ask how information is used, and request information about certain disclosures.
