Add Supported Living Services to the spending plan under code 320. bttr. completes an SLS assessment and can meet with the team to align hours and staffing with the person centered plan.

What is Supported Living Services under SDP code 320?
Supported Living Services is provided under SDP service code 320 in California's Self Determination Program. It is ongoing, hands on support for adults who live in their own home, shaped around the life they choose.
Can it be paid for through the Self Determination Program?
Yes. When Supported Living Services is part of the spending plan, bttr. bills through the participant's FMS, and only what is approved.
Who can receive Supported Living Services?
Adults who live in a home they own, rent, or lease, on their own or with roommates they choose. SLS is not for people living in the family home or in a licensed facility.
How is it different from Independent Living Skills?
Independent Living Skills teaches skills so the participant needs less support over time. Supported Living Services provides ongoing, hands on support so the participant can live safely and fully in their own home, for as long as they need it.
How are hours and staffing decided?
Services start with a bttr. SLS assessment. Hours and staffing follow the assessment and the person centered plan, from a few hours a week up to around the clock, including two to one staffing when the assessment shows it is needed.
Who provides the service?
A consistent team of support professionals matched by bttr. based on the participant's assessment, so every match is fully person centered. Every support professional is employed, trained, and supervised by bttr. and introduced before services begin.

bttr. serves Self Determination Program participants at every regional center in California.
What does the family or circle of support receive?
With the participant's permission, regular updates and one point of contact at bttr. for questions or schedule changes.
Can it be combined with other services?
Yes. Many plans combine services such as Independent Living Skills or Personal Attendant Services. bttr. delivers them as one team, with one plan and one point of contact.
