bttr Living works within your approved spending plan and coordinates directly with your Independent Facilitator and Financial Management Service, so the support stays flexible for you and compliant for everyone.

Tell your Regional Center
Let your service coordinator know you are interested in the Self Determination Program. Every Regional Center consumer is eligible to enroll.
Attend an orientation
Complete the SDP orientation through your Regional Center to learn how budgets, spending plans, and provider choice work.
Build your person centered plan
Define what a good life looks like for you: your goals, routines, communication style, and the support that fits them.
Receive your budget
Your Regional Center sets an individualized annual budget based on your needs, which becomes the foundation of your spending plan.
Choose your team
Select your Financial Management Service, optionally an Independent Facilitator, and the providers you actually want working with you.

How do I enroll in SDP?+
Tell your Regional Center service coordinator you want to join, complete the SDP orientation, build your person centered plan, receive your individualized budget, choose your Financial Management Service and providers, and begin services. Every Regional Center consumer is eligible.

Yes. We regularly collaborate with Independent Facilitators, Financial Management Services, Regional Centers, families, and interdisciplinary teams throughout California.
